The Department has a Student Forum - “ACES” (Association of Computer Engineering Students) and it has established in 15th Sept 2006 on the occasion of Engineers Day, the birth anniversary of Dr. Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

 

 Objective of the forum : 

 To encourage team work and the spirit of self reliance among the student members.  To provide common platform for the student members to exchange ideas and information on the topics of their interest,emerging trends, new development etc.

            Every Year CSE Department organised the Forum Installation Ceremony, felicitation of Class Toppers and Appreciation of students activities.  Dr. Vivek Nanoti, Pricipal, Dr. G. M.         CSE Department organized an  Intercollegiate Technical Fest “AVISH-16” under ACES

 

            Our department recently organised two days Intercollegiate Technical Fest "AVISH-16", -----The ultimate platform to showcase student's technical skills under the banner of CSI (Computer Society of India). Chief guest Mr. Mridul Chakravorty, Head TCS, Nagpur inaugurate the fest in presence of Dr. Vivek Nanoti, Principal PIET. Mr. Mridul Sir encourage and motivates the students for placement purpose and shared their experiences.

              This event stimulate the development of students activities such as improving curiosity corner, sharing knowledge on Emerging Technologies.The seven events under AVISH-16 are as follows:---

 1. JAVA FREAK is the platform to test the students Java skills.

 2. IDYEAH present startup plan or an idea to develop a unique application.

 3. CONVOKE  test the hardware assembling and booting a PC.

 4. ARMAGEDDON includes different gaming event such as  FIFA, CS, NFS, Pocket Tanks.

 5.CODE STORM is the c coding competition at pro level.

 6. WEB SHERLOCK is internet treasure hunt done in event

 7. INNOVIZ is the ultimate quiz competition to test students wit.

 There are 350 participant from different colleges participated in event and won the cash prizes for every event. Departmental Magazine TESTAMNET-16 (a sign or evidence of a specified fact, event, or quality of students) issue also inguarated.
